《光》

|

Katherine Chang

<On my Way Home>

Reading Kafka

Long gone is

the flying cockroaches in summer

With typhoons

And a hustle and bustle life

in a world of us

Sensing the warmth in silence

while savouring hotpots and mooncakes

Ancient temples in N.T.

become cathedrals with spires

‘Home

is where

your heart belongs’

What if my heart

never happens

to exist?

What is Heimweh

when you don’t have a place

to call Heimat?

Katherine Chang (Kath) was born and raised in Hong Kong, now wandering through Europe. She has her focus on literary art (poetry, prose, lyrics and short stories). Apart from her native language Chinese (Cantonese/Traditional Chinese), she also writes in English, German and French. She constantly tries to make art with cross-media/mixed media, as she finds herself with multiple identities. Literature and philosophy have been inspiring and edifying in shaping her sentiments towards the world and how to perceive and express the abstract universe. Her aim is to manifest and reflect the era of revolution, to inscribe the innermost being of all matters and to explore the spiritual world, and the transience and perpetuity in it, audaciously.
